Calcite is widely distributed with hardness of 2.7-3.0 and specific gravity of 2.6-2.8. It is also called stalactite and stalagmite. Calcite is mainly composed of calcium carbonate, which is mainly used as heavy calcium powder and light calcium powder. Calcite powder of different fineness is widely used in paper making, medicine, chemical industry, agriculture and other fields.
Calcite powder with fineness less than 325 meshes is mainly used as putty powder. It can also be used as industrial raw material of chemical industry and cement. Calcite powder is added to glass production to make glass translucent. Calcite powder of 400 to 800 mesh can be used as putty powder of high quality, in addition, it can also be used in the production of plastics, soap and so on. Calcite powder with 800 to 1250 mesh can be used in the production of rubber, materials, cables and PVC.
Calcite powder making is generally divided into coarse powder processing and fine powder processing.
First stage: crushing. The calcite bulk material is crushed by crusher to the feed fineness that can enter the mill.
Second stage: grinding. After crushing, small pieces of calcite material are sent to the silo by the hoist, and then uniformly and quantitatively sent to the grinding room of the grinder by the vibration feeder for grinding. HGM calcite powder ultra fine grinding mill, Raymond mill and YGM high pressure mill are commonly used for fine calcite powder processing.
Third stage: Grading. After grinding, the material is classified by the powder separator, and the unqualified powder in calcite processing is classified by the powder classifier and then returned to the main machine for re-grinding.
Fourth: Collection. Final output calcite powder is separated and collected in the dust collector with the air flow through the pipeline. The collected powder is sent to the warehouse by the conveying device through the outlet, and then packed in a powder cart or an automatic packer.
