What is calcite?

Not only are trilobite fossils, but many fossils in the sea are made of calcite. Even corals are the first coral insects to attach to the calcareous bone piles of the ancestor corals, in the form of tiny crystal calcite aggregates.
Calcite grinding process
Calcite, widely distributed, with a hardness of 2.7-3.0, is also called stalactite, stalagmite and white marble.
